Saturday marks the last appearance in the 'Shoe for many Buckeyes. Many thanks for all of their efforts representing Buckeye Nation.

Before the game, 19 members of the senior class, along with their parents, will be honored for their contributions to Ohio State football.

Counting only the 4 seasons from '06-'09, this class enters its 28th and final game at Ohio Stadium with:

Three Big Ten titles (a win Saturday makes it 4)
3-0 record over TSUN
Two trips to the BCS title game
Three BCS bowl appearances (a win Saturday makes it 4)
A 41-8 record, with 3 games left

They have a chance to set the record for most wins by an Ohio State senior class. If they beat Iowa, TSUN, and the Rose Bowl opponent that a win over Iowa would earn them, they'd have 44 wins. The current mark of 43 is shared by the 1995-98, 2002-05, and 2005-08 classes.

Thanks to all of these 2009 seniors:

I speculate that our juniors are frick'n awesome too!

Great bunch of seniors who have given so much to the program! Thanks to all of you! It's been an honor watching you all grow up to be great men and one hell of a football team!

Now... go get them roses and that record!

Congrats to this class. Spitler with the first tackle for loss, worthington with the sack, and russell with the pick. Great sequence for the seniors in OT.

BTW, what a way for Russell's career in the horseshoe to end. Started this year getting demoted, but came up with some big tackles and 2 INT's today. Gotta be happy for him. :)

This class might night be as decorated as some of the prior ones, but just like all the others they knew how to do one thing and in the end that's all that matters matters. In the end it doesn't matter how you won the games, its the fact that you won them. We aren't ready for you all to leave yet. You still need to get yourselves another pair of gold pants and to bring home us home some Roses! Like a couple of others I am glad ARuss had a good game today considering what happened to him early on in the year.

How Ironic that Anderson Russell makes the INT in OT and when this 2009 calendar year started it was Anderson being dumped on...

Bottom line...this was a great win. But there are 2 more win this class needs...and wants as much as all of us.

THANK YOU SENIORS, FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!
