Boeheim is down right now, thats why he isn't on it ,but he should be and you probably could say the same about Calhoun. Both are quality coaches IMO. It is just a wacky sports world right now.akronbuck;971241; said:no bobby huggins or the coaches fron syracuse and uconn.
Maybe, rivals should just retire

Matta's concerns at Ohio State: A bum back, replacing Oden
CHICAGO ? Ohio State men's basketball coach Thad Matta is making one adjustment after another these days, and the biggest change has nothing to do with losing three players to the NBA last summer.
Matta, 40, is recovering from two back surgeries last summer, the third and fourth operations he's had since he began struggling with back problems in high school.
"The back is getting stronger," Matta said Sunday at the Big Ten's media day, where officials announced Michigan State was picked as the league's preseason favorite in a media vote, followed by Indiana and Ohio State.
Matta is using a brace on his right foot because of damage to a nerve, which is expected to regenerate. But it could take two years, he said. "The biggest adjustment for me right now is every step I take, I've got to think about," Matta said.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL | BIG TEN NOTES
CHICAGO | One of the hot topics at Sunday's Big Ten Basketball Media Day was the NCAA's decision to enforce bench decorum rules more rigorously this season.
Among the actions that could draw a technical foul for coaches are cursing or coming onto the court without an official's permission.
One coach who doesn't expect any problems complying with the latter rule is Ohio State's Thad Matta.
The former Butler coach underwent operations in June and August to help alleviate back problems he'd been experiencing, and he's still recovering.
"I'm doing better," he said Sunday. "It's one of those things, it's a process. ... The biggest adjustment for me is every step I take, I have to think about it."
As for the staying-put rule: "I said to myself, 'I'm always in the (coaches') box. It will definitely help my (plans) of slowing down."
Matta's concerns at Ohio State: A bum back
During the game last night they were interviewing Matta and he was talking about his back and how it has limited him, apparently it is still tender enough to limit his time on court for practice.Oh8ch;979108; said:I hope their not talking about Twigs.
Moving on, a Step at a Time

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? After back surgery over the summer left him without feeling in his right foot, Ohio State Coach Thad Matta has still not adjusted to life with limited mobility.
Coach Thad Matta led Ohio State to the national title game, but lost the freshmen Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr. and Daequan Cook to the N.B.A.
?I knew I was in trouble the other day,? Matta said in early November. ?I was walking on campus, and a girl with a backpack smoking a cigarette passed me.?
?The nerve regenerates an inch a month,? Matta, 40, said. ?It could be a couple of years before it comes back. Every morning I wake up, the first thing I do is take a deep breath and hope for a miracle.?
