Before last month...maybe 5 ever.

Sent about 20 last month, mostly to my boss during hockey games or to my father after OSU basketball games when he was traveling.

I send around 25 a day, so that's 750 a month.

I hate talking on the phone because it ties up one of my hands, which means I can't be busy with other shit that I'd prefer to be doing. Now with my bluetooth in, I'm okay with being on the phone for a few minutes.

THIS KID'S A TEXT MANIAC

OMG! 14,528 MESSAGES IN A MONTH!

Greg Hardesty didn't LOL when he got his teen daughter's cellphone statement.

All he could think was "OMG!"

The California man's 13-year-old daughter, Reina, racked up an astonishing 14,528 text messages in one month. The online AT&T statement ran 440 pages.

It works out to 484 text messages a day, or one every two minutes of every waking hour.

The average number of monthly texts for a 13- to 17-year-old teen is 1,742, according to a Nielsen study of cellphone usage.

I send between 4 and 7 texts a month. Most the time I'd rather talk to the person or email them on my blackberry.

I'm starting to feel the pressure to start texting more as I'm receiving more and more per month. I have no texting plan, but all the incoming texts are making it worthwhile to invest in one.... bastards.

I send 0 text msgs a month usually. Once in a blue moon I may send one from my work phone since my personal cell gets charged for each one. The way I feel is, if you have something to say, call the person. Generally it will take about as long (Unless you can't possibly call someone without a 30 minute conversation), its more personal, and you can generally get better info.

I developed a lot of the strong dislike for text messages last year. My ex sends me text msgs all the time, event today, and I ignore them constantly. I'll pick up the phone if she calls to talk about something, but never reply to a text. For a long time, even when dating, I told her to just call. Normally she would only send text messages when she was drunk at the bar, or if she wanted to send something with angry/pissed off intentions, which is part of the reason I started ignoring them. Talk about a shitty thing to do to sometone, communicate entire pissed off conversations via text, doesn't help a situation. She still hasn't taken the hint, makes me laugh now when I get random texts from her. She said we had "communication issues" when we dated, I think she needed a hearing aid :)
