Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

I wonder if Arch and the Manning fam consider having Arch hit the Portal at seasons end, or do they just ride this thing out and play a game of chicken with Sark. And dare him to bench the golden child. There is little talent behind him, and Dia Bell coming in next years class, but he'll be a true frosh. Would boosters have Sark start looking at Portal QBs to force a competition? It'll be an interesting predicament if Arch doesn't get any better(and I doubt he gets to a point where he's beating teams with his talent) because he could solely set this program back YEARS and cost a bunch of coaches their jobs

Yep, they crawled into bed with Manning Inc. and are stuck with it. Who would take Starch at his point? No top team P4 certainly. So, he's going to end up at Kentucky or Wisconsin or Oregon State or Tulane or Reno. The guy is ass ( like all those haters like me said based on his high school record), and it will fuck tejas for awhile.

In the NIL age, they can dig themselves out of the Arch Pit faster than they could've a decade ago, but it will still cuck them for sticking with Manning Inc. over the best interests of their program.

Idk if the 1st 3 schools would even want the headache after seeing what he is. Tulane, Reno, Rice, Southern Miss are more realistic for him, but I doubt the Manning ego would let him leave Tejas for those types of schools. I was in your camp of also thinking he wasn't going to see much success based on HS lack of any real success. I mean even if you're at a low level of football(which he was) you should be absolutely dominating and getting to state yearly(especially to be the #1 QB). Its laughable to see how wrong SO many analysts were, and they get so shitty when called on it. And their only response is "well he's a Manning and has access to the best of everything". Well, duh! But how could you think he'd have any type of CFB success if he had hardly any in HS and was scared of camp competitions(I mean at least he could've done the Elite 11).

NIL will help, but they will be stuck in the Miami QB model for a while, of over paying for Portal QBs until they get a HS QB up to speed. If Bell isn't ready by Year 2, their only option is going after a Portal guy and praying Bell stays. Right now, all those 5star WRs are like having a fleet or Ferraris with no transmission.
