I think it is a learning curve, but not for Manning. The learning needs to happen from the hype from name alone driving a bunch of narrative.

Tebow mania will always be worse. Remember that they gave Timmuh the academic Heisman. Tebow was a fucking home ec major, 890 SAT scores and so-so (considering his major) grades.

Yep.
The FPI starts with a bias and that sets the tone for the whole year. It basically takes a complete disaster for any SEC teams to fall very far. After last year Bama was still in the top 5 and Auburn/Oklahoma were close to being top 25 teams.
