They were grotesquely underachieving for at least two decades before Brown arrived and continued to do so until Radio stepped foot on campus. Sure, they'd have the occasional transitory "texas is back!" season here and there but then slip right back into mediocrity. Then they had two generational QBs in a row before sliding back. What happened after 2009 hasn't been a program becoming broke; it's a program reverting to its recent historical norm.

Mack had more talent go into that program than arguably any coach in CFB, and he squandered it by not even attempting to coach. It’s on him to me why UT is where they are. If you look at their recruiting classes, and it’s utterly baffling. If OSU had the type of talent inOH that TX, and was bringing in at least a 1/3 of the top 20(and all were highly ranked), and only had 1 NC to show for it, OSU fans would be more bitter than they are now.

Same shit our AD at the time did with Cooper. Fired him for losing control of the program, Germany having a 0.0 GPA and all that shit. Truth was we were sucking on the field and he couldn’t beat tsun.

Cooper was completely the beneficiary of the ugly whacking of Earl; otherwise, he wouldn't have made it to his turnaround 93 season. He owed so much to Earl that he should have been at Earl's funeral wailing like a distraught Asian widow trying to climb into the grave.

And the hilarity that would've had ensued had Geiger had the stones when he flaunted that LSU offer to just say buh-bye. You think you're getting six years down there to turn things around and then still continue to flounder against your rival and in bowl games, John? They would have fed his ass to the gators after year three.
