Nobody is erasing history. Nobody is scrubbing the history books. A statue or song or base name isn't history. It's a celebration, and if it's a celebration of an evil, treasonous history to tear it down is not to erase that history. It's to recognize that it's a celebration of evil. The history will still be there to learn from after the celebration has rightly been removed.

Dbb is right. There is an obvious touch here between sport and politics, but if we want to walk down that road with more depth, it's better done off this board.
