I think the funniest part about all of this is the fact that Bobby freakin Bowden is being used as the example of running a clean program here. If, as a college football coach, you're striving to have a program as clean as Bowden's FSU teams, you're not aiming real high......
Well, Ol' FSU spent decades as an all-girl school. Bobby arrived and then there was Burt Reynolds, followed by 2 wide left and 2 wide right.

College football projected win totals for every SEC team in 2022

TEXAS A&M AGGIES

DraftKings Sportsbook projected win total: 8.5

The pick: Over; Buy this stock, albeit at a high price, for Texas A&M to be a contender this season. It's not yet time to project the Aggies in the College Football Playoff because the quarterback situation should still give everyone pause, but when you consider roster talent, only Alabama and Georgia are comparable in the SEC and for the most part, nationally. Jimbo Fisher is due for breakthrough and this is a team capable of winning 10 games and getting to a New Year's Six bowl game.

College football's under-pressure coaches entering 2022 season, per Josh Pate

JIMBO FISHER, TEXAS A&M

What Pate says: "Jimbo Fisher's got some pressure this year. Job's not on the line. It’s not any kind of hot-seat talk. I’m not talking about Texas A&M fans demanding that he the SEC Championship. But what I do think they expect from him is more than eight wins. I think they expect for him to be competitive in every game they play. They can not have any of these three-plus touchdown drubbings anymore, like they had the first couple times they played Bama. That’s got to be in the past. They’ve got to improve the passing game significantly.”

No. They're ATM, and at least four of those teams will go ass-to-mouth on them.

Since we are talking National championships, then National is the context. I'd like to see a national poll done on what are the most significant NCAA sports. My guess is that you'd find two national sports and a bunch of regional sports. It's more than a guess really; there is plenty of data out there to state categorically: there are two major sports when it comes to national championships. Synchronized swimming has national championships too; that doesn't make it major.

But, since it allows us all to point and laugh at AtM, forget everything I just said. They deserve it.
