Texas 13, Nebraska 12 (final)

I think Nebraska is a few good running backs away from being a very good team. It's nice to see Alabama grind Florida's D into the ground today. I think Nebraska could do the same with some depth in the backfield.

Really? In the games I've watched this year they've been pretty effective running the football. It's passing that kicks their asses.

They have good runningbacks...they just don't have consistent QB play and lack great filling linebackers.

They are a few good recruiting classes away from challenging Tejas and Oklahoma year in, year out. Question is, will Pellini be there that long?

Where would he go? Nebraska is (should be, could be) a Top-10 contender year-in, year-out. Unless JT retires and Bo gets the Ohio State job, which is the only opening I can think of that makes sense given he's alum, anything else would be a lateral move, or step down, from Nebraska.

After Callahan screwed the program up, Nebraska will be greatful for a good solid coach. It's still a destination position. Can't see him going anywhere but Ohio State.

I don't know, the Nebraska situation really hinges on next season. I don't think he would ever consider going to scUM (I feel that job is going to be open after next season).

I guess he will stick around, but I always though that he took the Nebraska job as a stopgap.

AHA!

Oklahoma. If Stoops leaves, who will fill that job?

The longer this goes on you know what happens...pressure builds on the heavy favorite.

Despite my earlier post, I find myself rooting for Nebraska even though the thought of Cincinnati possibly sneaking into the NC game nauseates me.
