Texans take Mario Williams (Merged)

High Lonesome

Hook 'Em
one of the local radio guys that is always the first to break texans' news just came on the radio and said that the texans have agreed to terms with mario williams and that part of these terms are that they will no longer negotiate with reggie bush.

I repeat the texans WILL NOT TAKE REGGIE BUSH

That's just now confirmed by a report on the NFL TV Network (so refreshing to watch draft projections without Mel Diaper).

Man, what a weird week for Reggie Bush.

Money is at the root of all his troubles these last few days.

If the Texans keep this kind of shit up on draft day can we just make it official and call them Cardinals South. :tongue2:

NFL Network is spinning this as a truly great pick, yet the number one concern for the Texans coming into the draft was surely protecting David Carr, whose life as a Pinata cannot last forever.

Taking Bush would at least have given Carr a different type of protection, a multi-threat outlet. Plus, the marketability would not have hurt in football rabid Houston.

Now what?

I think overall this is a truly bad pick by the Texans as it does not address their core needs in any meaningful way.

I agree 100%. I don't know how or why you pass on a player like Bush.
