This just made the draft a helluva lot more interesting...oh, and someone might know better than I, but I'm pretty sure that if you agree before the draft you are obligated to go with it, but I'm not sure

I can see NO getting a nice deal tomorrow, but I don't see them taking him...

Why didn't the Texans try to trade down. They could have gotten Mario for a lot less and with an extra pick to boot.

I think the only team they could have realistically traded down with to be sure to get Williams would be New Orleans who may not have been interested. I don't know, I think this is as about as dumb a move as I've seen in a while and I'm a Browns fan.

A cliche, but it takes two to tango.

If Houston felt they were locked into that spot, all they had to do was weigh the marginal value of Williams over their present DEs vs. Bush over Morency/Davis and a Pro Bowl returner in Mathis. And I'm sure Bush's contract demands came into play a bit as well.
