Ted Ginn Sr. (official thread)

Didnt know where to put this, but Ginn Sr. is not happy with scUM.

Ginn's ire growing toward UM

The fall days are getting cooler, but not nearly as chilly as the relationship nowa days between powerful football programs Glenville High and the University of Michigan.
Glenville High head coach Ted Ginn Sr. says Michigan has been actively refusing to recruit Tarblooder players this season and is effectively boycotting the school - even though 8-0 Glenville is the Plain Dealer's No. 1-ranked high school team and has several star players.
"Our relationship with Michigan is dead, but [UM head coach] Lloyd Carr is the one who's killed it," Ginn Sr. says. "It's disgraceful."

The reason I admire Coach Ginn so much is because he takes city league players (Which I feel the most talent really is) and puts them in a position to succeed, gives them someone to look up to, answer to, for most of us grow up without that male role model, there for we are not disciplined enough to do what it takes to get to that next level. But Coach Ginn is making that happen and the talent that has been there all along he is suddenly getting to the next level. But you better believe that if it were not for Ginn Sr. instead of a stud Fred Lenix who played ball for glennville (just an example) He might just have been another kid with talent without proper guidence that everyone talks about as a could've been.
If only his ways could spread through out Ohio we would have a lot more stud players, and instead of a Garry Russell who goes to Minnie because of grade issues and test issues because a coach is only concerned about the team and thus floats under the radar, you have a 4-5 star prospect thathas it together and ends up at his dream school.
So.............Kudos to Ginn Sr. Because If we all knew the background of these kids we would all be so much more amazed as to what he is doing and really means to that community.

Ted Ginn Jr. was all smiles when he first began speaking about his father...

...and in an instant he was fighting back the tears.

Well Happy B-Day Ted Ginn Version 1. The Big 5-0

But shouldn't this be in the HS forum?
Maybe you missed the memo, but Glenville is a key cog in OSU's CFB team. Ted Ginn and Troy turned around last season, and Whitner has been making huge plays for a while. Plus the fact that we will have 8 (?) players from that school.

Glad those pictures got published. Great stuff for a great man.

Happy Birthday... Anyone who has had an opportunity to be around Ginn Sr has came away a better person, he really is a remakable man. There are hundreds of thousands of people who are thankful for Ginn Sr because of the athletes he sends to OSU, but people who really know Ginn Sr is thankful for him for all the fine men he has had helped bring into society.
