Too bad he doesn't believe in premarital sex.

Yeah, and he would never taunt an opponent, either.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osBBYbQXQDQ"]YouTube - Tim Tebow "CHOMPS" Oklahoma![/ame]

Hyp-hyp, hypocrisy!

Yeah - in response to what whatever Nick Harris and his "Tebow's the 4th best QB in the Big 12" teammates were saying.

Its sad the way the announcers make you all hate Tebow. He never said he's perfect, and he is a competitor who is not above displaying the emotions you display in a football game. When they piss him off he is looking for someone to hit. Gator fans think Nick Harris tried to hurt Percy's leg by twisting it after the tackle. Fuck Nick Harris and his tender feelings after we own him, he's lucky all he gets is a chomp after his smack talk. And if you think that Tim just decided to chomp him out of the blue, you haven't watched the replay.

It just seems funny to me that y'all keep bitching about the talking heads over the top love of Tebow (which we all agree is way annoying) when, at the same time, your comments indicate you believe all the things that they are saying about him. I mean, pick a side: complaining about the announcer's Tebowners (i.e., "Tim would never smack talk") when you appear to accept the truth of the message they are selling is a puzzling combination. If you don't, then e-mail Fox instead of calling Tim a hypocrite.

Nobody in Gator Nation is supporting those lazy asshat announcers one-note message. But because they do go so overboard, don't take it out on the guy on the field. He's not in the frigging booth. And if it was your guy you wouldn't be able to hide your scarlet and gray Tebowner if you wore two pairs of pants.:tongue2:

Hypocrisy is when you lose to a team that has the same record as you, and sell the idea that you are more deserving to go to the title game than that team, get your [censored] beat in the title game and gets teary eyed on the sidelines. I don't feel sorry for these losers one bit.

I have no problems with Tebow. I bet he'd annoy the fuck out of me if I knew him, but he's a good guy and doesn't deserve all the hate.

Trash talking doesn't bother me. I'd say the Oklahoma guy probably said something. But even if he didn't, if that's the worst thing someone can find him doing, maybe he does deserve all that praise after all.

You looked Tebow in the eyes...didn't you? I told you, "DON'T STARE DIRECTLY AT HIM!"...you've been assimilated.

He is a good guy and I like that. He has his "shit" in check. And he's one of those players that every coach wish they had on their team. Good luck your senior year Tim, but TP is going to win the Heisman

Seeing that Heisman jinx in action twice, I hope some QB we play in the BCSCG wins it....

You're right, Gator. I don't know Tebow. Maybe he is genuine.

I'm certain my views on religion, and overtly religious people, have been formed based on personal experience. Unfortunately, I've had close friends and family members become "born again" Christians, and it hasn't been positive. For while they "praise the Lord" when the world is watching, they've also become snobbish, holier-than-thou, lying two-faced hypocrites who whistle an entirely different tune when they think no one is looking. They say one thing, and do another.

Who are/were these people? My dad, his parents, (they're deceased) and my best friend for 20 years to name a few. If being "born again" means being like them I'd prefer to "burn in hell", thank you. I've always been skeptical of religion and the Bible, and those people who once meant so much to me were just the icing on the cake.

So I apologize for calling Tebow a hypocrite. I don't know him.

Anyway, I hope you had a good time at the game. The Gators have been on a helluva roll in recent years, ya lucky bastard. :)

My experiences have shown me that what I think isn't good enough, and I need to change because I'm wrong. That's why I said he might annoy the fuck out of me.

Just to add to what you said.

Not trying to say all religious people are like that.. just most of the very religious people whom I know..

Certainly, my take on the Bible does not include any promise that the believer is automatically better than someone else. My flavor denomination says that we are all depraved (not in the Romper Room regulars sense :p, but meaning that we all have issues, pride, anger, etc.) that does not get fixed just by saying I am "born again".

I agree that hypocrite Christians come a dime a dozen. Does not mean that there are not a lot of good people though, or that the message of the Golden Rule is wrong. Just that humanity is filled with lots of ass wipes who use religion to justify their own prejudices or further their own self esteem, even if that includes looking down on others who are not so overtly religious, in direct contradiction with what Jesus said..

Jesus took a dim view of them too, saying "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites. The hypocrites love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray loudly. They want people to see them pray. I tell you the truth. They already have their full reward. When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father."

So I'm with ya man. And the Tebow love fest is indeed sickening. If it was some other team's QB, I'd likely be agreeing with you.
