The specific scenario those two tweets imply is that Kentucky was pitching Witten on being their only TE target in the class (specifically versus Ohio State who already had a TE committed). I just think it’s funny that Kentucky was not only recruiting other TEs at the same time (it’s not like the kid committed after one phone call), they were telling this kid the exact same things they were selling Witten on regarding utilization in the offense the entire time.I figured that's just recruiting in general. Because I'm sure when Alford and Day heard of SWD visiting UK, they made some calls to recruits who would replace him, before things were smoothed over.
