Off Campus With . . . OSU tight end Rory Nicol

The lowdown: Nicol was named Ohio State's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Youngstown State, even though he caught just one pass for 14 yards. After years of hearing that this was the season the tight ends were going to be involved more in the passing game, he should know not to get his hopes up.

Rory Nicol.Best concert I've ever been to: "Kenny Chesney, in 2005 or 2006, at Crew Stadium in Columbus."
Concert I'd most like to see now: "I've got a big crush on Fergie. She's a health nut, so she'd definitely keep me in shape."
Favorite video game: "Wii bowling. I've bowled a 300 on there a few times. I've bowled a 100, too."
Favorite NFL team and why: "The Steelers. It's where I'm from [Beaver, Pa.], and they've always been a great organization from the top down. The Steelers go back to the foundation of pro football, the Steel Curtain and all that."
Favorite Web site: "There's a gas-price Web site on msn.com. I'll go on there and search by zip code and then pop into the cheapest gas station that I'm driving near."
My position coach yells at me when I . . .: "Get my feet too close together on my second step. You need to keep them apart for balance, and I always get them too close."
