Ohio State tight end transfers to JSU

Former Ohio State tight end Marcel Frost has joined the Jackson State football team, JSU coach Rick Comegy said on Thursday.
Frost, a 6-foot-5, 255-pound junior has two years of eligibility remaining and was listed as the Buckeyes starting tight end going into fall practice.
But he was suspended from the Ohio State football team on Aug. 9 for the entire 2006 season for violating undisclosed team rules. He did keep his scholarship and was eligible to return to the team in 2007.
"Ohio State released him and we picked him up," Comegy said. "Obviously, he gives us a great option at tight end with great hands. He should be eligible for us right away."
Frost played in nine games for Ohio State last season, starting five. He caught seven passes for 70 yards.
Frost was on the JSU practice football field in uniform, but without pads, during Thursday morning's practice.
The addition of Frost is the ninth D-I transfer on Jackson State's roster for this season and the second former Ohio State player. The other is running back Erik Haw.
he was not part of the 03 class ('04 instead).Rolemodel, you left Haw off.
Somehow, I think we can still get by Northern Illinois!!
