TE Jake Stoneburner (Official Thread)

I think he'll be a WR similar to Mike Jenkins when he was here. I'd hate to see him move to TE, but I don't think it's going to happen. I love the variety of WR that we're bringing in. Stoneburner will just be another match-up nightmare.

I think it would be interesting to see how our offense would change if we had a legitimate pass catching threat at TE. I'm not saying Jake needs to be that guy, but it would be interesting to see how JT would change the offense to accomodate that kind of talent (after this past year, when our TEs caught very few passes).

Well sorry to say,were gonna be using our TE alot this year.The same way we did in 02.

We do have Jake Ballard and Andrew Miller for 3 mrore years and Rory Nicol and Brandon Smith for 2 more. We don't necessarily need another and Jake seems the perfect fit as a guy who could play there, but doesn't have to.

At the camp meet-and-greet today, JT introduced Terelle Pryor to Stoneburner (and Posey) and said, "These are your future wideouts." I guess we can put any talk about him playing TE on the back burner...
