The defense allowed 234 yards and 13 points. You cannot seriously lay any real blame on the defense when the offense continually hung them out to dry.
And the thing that is a bad sign to me is that this was exactly reverse of the script in years past. They got beat by one QB run. There were no gashing 9 yard runs behind 7 OL. There weren’t 5 yard after 5 yard brutalizers up the middle. They hit 3 passes in the 4th quarter, but there weren’t backbreaking 15 yard crosses and outs. The D eliminated all of that. Yet the offense, supposedly the strength of Day and ZOMG CHIP KELLY, was dogshit, particularly schematically. If you can’t win the game when the opposing offense does next to nothing…then when can you?

And funny enough you aren't giving the D enough credit. D only really gave up 3 points at the end. The 7 points was at like the 2-3 yard line, the other 3 was from a terrible punt.

If we had competent special teams, this game would have been over. If Howard didn't throw those two picks, this game would be over. Defense is the reason this wasn't 20-10 Michigan.

Ultimately, this loss not only kick us out of the B1G championship game once again, we lose a first round bye. The only way Day could redeem himself after this loss is win the NC, but I am not optimistic of our chances.

Not a bad choice to be honest. I live in Minnesota and he absolutely fields some teams that give teams problems. Which is saying something… that said they won’t do it. It’s a shame too because PJ is very Tressel like.
That’s a hell to the NO…. Live here too and know a lot of people that want him to row his boat the fuck out of town

If Howard had thrown five interceptions, but they were all on deep routes to Smith, Egbuka and Tate we would have won this game the way our defense played. Also, Day needs to understand that this isn't 1985. You don't run the ball to open up the passing game. You throw the ball downfield to open opportunities for the running game. Unfortunate thing is that he damn well knows this. He just couldn't help himself and just turtled it up from the very beginning. I'm surprised we weren't running the I-formation.

Poor Fielding is going to bring the ugliest element of our fanbase out from under their rocks.

I attended Eastern Michigan University from Fall 1993 - Spring 1997. For those that don't know, EMU is just on the opposite side of 23 from that whore up north.
I recognize and acknowledge that there are a lot of people on BP who shared those scared experiences and years with me.
I don't regret any of the positivity I channeled today.
However, transporting myself back nearly 20-30 years on how I felt then and it resurfacing today is just a shitload to bear.
Goddammit! This should not have happened. It shouldn't have happened to Jack, Cody, Lathan, and all the other players who demonstrate that they give a supreme shit about being a Buckeye and representing Ohio State.
I'm, obviously, not at a loss for words, but making any other coherent statements right now is beyond me.

Oh, and one more thing. You shut down the game thread a little early. Kind of a p***y move.
Here's the deal cunt lips: the BMW thread was created so that the regular game thread wouldn't be filled by the chicken-little shit. @LordJeffBuck has done right all day long, and the regular game thread can stay locked for eternity for all I and a number of others care.

The simple fact that Jack's unbelievable read and INT was for naught makes me physically ill
I thought a few things during this game that I cannot believe didn’t spur us to a win.

1. I thought it was ironic we turned them over on 4th down. Sort of thought “oh damn that’s the rejection that the last few years won’t happen this time”.

2. Then when Jack got the INT… I thought surely this is a storybook ending for 33 being the leader to bring the seniors back.
