Man, all this media talk about revenge/redemption is starting to give me a bit of last minute anxiety. Reminds of their revenge tour bullshit from 2018 and we face raped them

Hopefully this team stays focused on fundamentals and execution isn’t blinded by notion of revenge and assume they’re going to smoke them because of it.

For every action, there’s an overreaction

As they’ve done all season, the Buckeyes will start slow. The defense won’t be able to get off the field on third down and the offense will struggle to gain traction. OSU fans will overreact and pronounce the game over and Ryan Day should be fired. Then, adjustments will be made on both sides of the ball and we will all relax a bit as the Buckeyes slowly take over the game.

This had better not be the case. Allowing them to get an early score or two and then shorten the field and turtle down is their only chance of winning. Day needs to come out aggressive and be up at least 14 by the end of the first. Then they'll fall apart, and he can tack on some fuck you points before getting the starters out of there before they get deliberately injured or provoked into a reprisal that could have them sitting out against Oregon.

2018 Michigan was a paper tiger and OSU had a passing game tailor made to dismantle them.

They'll be annoying and work as hard as possible to drain clock and run some gadget plays. OSU will start slow and it'll definitely be frustrating for the first 1.5 quarters. But they won't have a tenth of the talent that offense did.

Yeah I was going to say…

That 2018 team was a better team. So then doing the revenge BS was just asking for it. Also, we haven’t been talking revenge we’ve just been saying we want this game badly.

The difference is our fanbase is talking about redemption and revenge. Their FOOTBALL team had shirts made. :slappy:

Haven't heard quite the revenge stuff coming from the boys. They're just out for blood. Revenge will come

That was the first time I got to go The Game. My dad promised me as a kid we would get tickets my senior year of high school and he bought them when both teams were ranked well outside of the top 10 right when they went on sale, I think for like $50 a piece. I remember people were offering $2,000+ per ticket when that week hit and my dad said if you want we can sell them and you can take that money to spend when you go to Ohio State.

To which, I instantly said hell no, we are going to The Game and we've had a verbal contract on this game my whole life. Probably the best memory I have with my dad was on that day sending the skunk weasels packing without their hopes of an undefeated record or national title. To your point, I remember seeing that ticker and my studies at school diminished incredibly knowing I would be in the 'Shoe for that one. I have never seen the amount of hype for a game, but it was well worth it.
tOSU was #1 in the AP poll that year from the preseason until the game in Glendale.

If Loveland doesn’t play there’s literally no excuses for giving up more than 120 yards rushing and 10 points to this team. That means they’d be down their best offensive player and their best defensive.

There’s absolutely no excuses tomorrow if we somehow lose this damned game. We should be sitting back in the 4th enjoying the frustration of the last 5 years being released. This shouldn’t be a game in the 4th and I hope we treat them as such.
