So, good and bad news on the TIN issue. The wait time was very minimal with my call with the IRS, so that was good. I had to go through two different calls with them, but I learned that they had already flagged the other return as suspicious. Supposedly based on the calls, they removed it from my account. So all that was good. I still have to file by paper instead of electronically and I will more than likely have to go through some additional items with it. No that is a pain in the arse.

Well at least you got it taken care of with plenty of time left. It's not like you waited until the last day to....oh.

Well, I waited to submit because I knew I had to pay. Then when the problem started happening with the submission over the weekend, I had to wait to get ahold of the IRS. After that I have been on the road for work since the wee hours of Monday. Finally back home today where I can handle it. But, yeah nothing like last minute....

Oh you are definitely right in terms of waiting. One thing I didn't know was I could have submitted a month ago when I was done with them and not had the payment taken out until the 18th. it would have made getting this done a lot less last minute. Learn something new all the time.
