What mockery.
the kind where you re-use the same canned phrases every nine words in the same sentence.
Those passages exist, which is why you tried the pharasee hail Mary (pun intended), fully knowing that the gospel of Mark where that is located is full of so many errors that it's hard to be taken seriously.
Yeah, clearly I think Mark is garbage, am terrified and need a diversion. It couldn't be because before you arrived, OSU Buckguy quoted the same post about Jesus and was discussing the parallels between the pharisees and the right wing today.

Then you swoop in, quote the same post and chime in with LOLZ Jesus sure loves rapez and abortion amirite guyz?

Can't imagine why I regard your approach to theology as drive-by mockery.

You didn't address any of the points. Does or does not the new testament have several passages when Jesus explicitly says the word of God and scripture is absolute and must be followed? and does or doesn't the old testament advocate those very things? The answer to both is yes.

So, you state that you will have a true discussion. Please do so.

You're sarcastically asking me rhetorical questions and then answering them for me. Not only are you not looking for a debate, you do not even need me to take part since you're acting out both sides

Congratulations on beating yourself in that argument. Your version of me should be ashamed I guess?

So, you don't agree with the answers to those questions? If so, please elaborate.

If you don't, then you are taking exception to the statement that the Bible is inherently contradictory as are many of the christians who follow it why exactly? I've gotten nothing outside of an argument that exists in a gospel that is vastly different depending on which translation you use, and inherently wrong in terms of geography and many other factually based areas.

But then again, i don't subscribe to the notion that because something exists in the Bible, it is inherently true.

So again, you stated you want to engage in a real debate, but are going to painful lengths to avoid doing so.

Tsteele, You also don't subscribe to the notion that someone should be asked an actual question or be given the courtesy to answer it. :so:

You've yet to actually ask a question (at least where you wait and consider what the answer is). Even when I call you out for asking non-questions and pre-emptively stuffing your answers down my throat, your response is "hey, here's all of this undeniable truth about how the bible sucks, which part do you deny?"

You just want to yell at a caricature of me and any fool that is deluded by scripture. It definitely puts up less of a fight and I'm not interested in trying to distract you from that charade.

Have a good day, man. This isn't productive.

When a Rabbi or (even going so far as to include) Jesus says "follow the Torah", they mean a fair amount of different things, because it encompasses different things for different people.
This is the very reason why it's a fallacy to also say that Jesus "fulfilled" the Torah/Christian "Old" Testament. Just not possible as a total package.

You've had ample opportunity to provide any sort of rebuttal and have chosen not to do so. So, if you want to have a real discussion as you claim, and have claimed in several different threads, then give anything of substance.

Fortunately, science ultimately was allowed to grow and we're not debating this topic quill pens and papyrus paper. No thanks to the religious leaders of several centuries.

I'm not wasting time breaking down the next few paragraphs of apologetics because he simply repeats his argument in different words. I will, however, add this:

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." - Neil deGrasse Tyson

^Interesting video.
Personally, I no longer give any shits about evolution, creation, intelligent design, et cetera. Just doesn't matter to me.
I've always wondered about the transition from abiogenesis to biogenesis. That's the only element/question that actually still captures my mind.
It's just as likely that "life" was brought her from space as it was some sort of involvement of "intelligence".
