Ohio State isn't going to embarrass him and say they have retracted his scholarship and Taivon isn't going to embarrass himself and tell the world he no longer has an offer. It essentially came down to Chip Kelly handing us Dontre Wilson and a late bloomer in James Clark. You watch Wilson and Clark film and it isn't even close who the better players are. If OSU had 85 scholarships Taivon is probably still a part of the class. And the other point no one is bringing up, is the fact that Taivon can play DB, but OSU also got a late switch in Gareon Conley. His versatility isn't a huge asset when the Buckeyes have recruited elite talent pretty much across the board outside of offensive line, IMO.
This. I have to guess that Tavion's decision, whatever it will be, will be somewhat mutual. I am sure OSU would still take him, but they are sending clear signals his way. No reason to criticize the kid for reading the tea leaves.
