Super Bowl XLIII: Steelers(-6.5) vs. Cardinals

all in on the steeers. Besids JO's very proper call of "whoever scores the most points will win the game" I think the game comes down to Larry Fitzgerald, if the steelers contain him they win, if they don't then the Cards have a chance.

So Sayeth Mooktar
Mooktarr Book 2 verse 93
I agree with Mook , the game for the Cards rests with Larry Fitzgerald.
If gets 3 td's again this week then the Seelers will be in a dog fight.

I love that the center for the Steelers is talking shit. These Cardinals feed off that type of stuff. More fuel to the fire.

I think everyone is forgetting about Boldin. If Fitzgerald is going to get all the attention (which that doesn't really matter anyway because he will still make plays) I think Boldin could end up having the bigger day than Fitz. That's assuming Kurt Warner has time to throw the ball.

Yeah, teams usually forget about pro bowlers

:rofl:My point is that everyone is talking about Fitz and what are the Steelers going to do to stop him. The only thing being brought up about Boldin is that he threw a hissy fit after winning the NFC championship game. No one is talking about what he could do to the Steelers.

I've put some vcash on the Steelers to cover both playoff games and they did so no need to mess with good mojo. I have no freakin idea how this game is going to go.

I think this all, and I do mean all, boils down to whether or not the Cardinal line can keep the Steeler rush out of Warner's face.

If Warner has to rush, if he cannot throw on time then this isn't in doubt, Steelers running away.

If Warner has time, if he can connect regularly - whether to Fitz or Boldin or Breaston (curiously never, ever mentioned) then you have a game in the making.

I'm going to go against popular sentiment and say this game rests on the Cardinals defense. They've done a good job with takeaways in the post season. Their Run D has been good in all 3 of their post season games. Steelers have a weak offensive line so the Cards have a chance to slow down the run and maybe get some heat on Big Ben.

Uhh, maybe this is the only thing the media is bringing up.. I
d be willing to bet the Steelers watched a little bit of film over the past 2 weeks.

In reagdog's defense, I think that he is mainly referring to the people in this thread and the media. I don't think that he's stupid enough to think that the squealers have overlooked Boldin. Just that Boldin will have a bigger impact on the game, than anyone is saying publicly.
