Super Bowl XLIII: Steelers(-6.5) vs. Cardinals

Low blow reagdog, and a bad one too. Don't bring up what Hines felt after we lost the '04-05 AFC Championship Game. Why? Because he wanted it for Bettis. He wasn't crying because he lost. He was crying because his teammate lost. Why? 'Cause the Steelers stick together. And, he got it for Bettis. He was the Super Bowl MVP, if you recall correctly. And, he's probably one of the most respected players in the NFL. Next time, pick a better target.

Anyway, here is a pretty good story on James Harrison. Hard work is what it's all about:

Bettis still got his ring - so I don't feel sorry for him.

question for the NFL junkies. whats the difference between the eagle's defense and the steelers defense? they were saying how good the eagles D was and that didn't help. i'm just curious how the steeler's compare.

Steelers are better in every category compared to the Eagles. They are #1 vs the Pass, #1 Scoring Defence, #1 Overall Defence and #2 vs the run. Plus Lebeau is the best DC in the league.

Steelers center Justin Hartwig unexpectedly called into question Arizona's schedule while talking about the difficulty of the one Pittsburgh played during the regular season.

I see the point he's making re: the regular season, and it's a valid one. However, in the playoffs the Steelers have won home games versus the 8-8 Chargers and the 6th-seeded Ravens. The Cardinals have defeated 11-5 Atlanta, 12-4 Carolina on the road, and the 6th seeded Eagles.

If the regular season Cards show up, the Steelers roll. If the playoff version shows up, Hartwig might regret those words. It's getting interesting...

Regardless of whether or not he has a valid point, it's a stupid thing to say. You never give an underdog any reason to think you don't respect them.

A more appropriate comment would have said something to the effect of how Arizona struggeld at times throughout the regular season, but they seem to be peaking in the playoffs.

It's not like Hartwig he even one of the leaders or identities of this team. He's hardly the next in the Mike Webster/Dirt Dawson/Jeff Hartings lineage of great centers in Pittsburgh......
