Cincy

Mismatch game
BY BOB MATTHEWS / ROCHESTER (N.Y.) DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE

MIAMI ? Touchdown, Bears. The NFC champions arrived by charter plane to begin Super Bowl preparations, beating AFC champion Indianapolis to Miami by more than 24 hours.
With the game still six days away, the Colts have plenty of time to catch up. But Bears coach Lovie Smith was glad to be the first team in town, especially when a balmy breeze greeted him as he stepped off the plane Sunday.

Bears Have 2-Headed Running Attack

By RICK GANO
AP Sports Writer
MIAMI ? When he's fresh, Thomas Jones is at his best. Lighter legs give him the lift to sidestep tacklers and spring forward down the field for the Chicago Bears.
This season he's been able to take some plays off, thanks to the emergence of the man who wants to eventually take his job, Cedric Benson.

From dogs to fighter jets, Super Bowl security a massive effort

CURT ANDERSON

Associated Press

MIAMI - Gavin moved quickly around the spacious convention center, searching for a hidden bomb. Near a glass box containing a fire extinguisher, he sniffed the air and abruptly sat down. Inside was a pound of live high explosives, wrapped in black plastic.
For successfully finding the "bomb," Gavin got a treat from his handler, Special Agent L.A. Bykowsky of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. His training exercise over, the 7-year-old golden Labrador retriever is ready for duty conducting bomb-sniffing sweeps for the Super Bowl and its related events and hotels.

MIAMI - Adewale Ogunleye came home for the Super Bowl.

By STEVE WYCHE
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 01/30/07 Miami ? He has more touchdown passes this season than the Falcons' Michael Vick. He has a higher postseason passer rating than his heralded Super Bowl counterpart, Peyton Manning.

The party scene
The two hottest Super Bowl parties are always the Playboy party and the Maxim party. The lavish soir?es are mainly held to curry favor with the rich and glamorous. It is almost impossible for the average person to get into the elite parties. The only way is to get tickets through a broker, charging anywhere from $2,000 to $3,800.
