It looks like Pryor added to his sweet O arm tattoo.. this time with C R A I G... either for his pops or his favorite message board potstirrer.

Hahahahahaha...it would be entirely fitting if TP was a craigw fan.

Thoughts from Monday?s Open Practice
By Brandon Castel

For the first time since the annual Scarlet and Gray game in the spring, Ohio State fans were invited to Ohio Stadium for inside look at Jim Tressel and the 2009 version of the Buckeyes Monday night.

Practicing under the lights in preparation for their Sept. 12 visit from USC, the Buckeyes ran a full practice in front 4,000-5.000 die-hard OSU fans that lasted from about 8-10 p.m. Unlike Saturday?s jersey scrimmage, there was no live contact Monday, but instead the Bucks did what Tressel called ?thud type stuff? that involved playing to contact, but no takedowns.

I've heard good things about Nic all off season. Great group of TE's we have in the system right now.

With the rash of minor injuries we've had, a lot of guys behind the 1st teamers have gotten some solid, solid reps this fall. I'm excited about seeing the pay off this season. Guys like Sabino who may have had trouble grasping the system seem to be capitalizing from the experience. I'm stoked!:banger:

Notes from Ohio State football practice
by Doug Lesmerises, The Plain Dealer
Wednesday August 26, 2009

Notes from Ohio State's practice this afternoon

* Biggest news was that Justin Boren, off his knee injury, was back at practice working with the first-team offensive line at left guard, though the team was only in shorts and shoulder pads.

* Freshman Duron Carter continues to move up the depth chart and worked most often as the No. 4 receiver today when the Buckeyes went four wide. Posey, Sanzenbacher and Washington are the solid top three. Carter may have been helped by the fact that Lamaar Thomas has missed some practice time with a small injury, though he was back today. And Ray Small had at least a snap or two in that four-wide set, too, though he most often ran with the second team.

* Andrew Miller took nearly all the first-team snaps at left tackle. J.B. Shugarts worked with the twos, and Mike Adams was with the threes.

* Players who didn't practice: Cameron Heyward, Lawrence Wilson, Austin Spitler, Jake Ballard, Orhian Johnson, Aaron Gant and Jake Stoneburner. Heyward was out of his walking boot, with only a small brace on his right ankle, but he wasn't practicing.

* It's the battle for the third running back spot, but it seems like Jordan Hall takes a step forward every day. Jaamal Berry continues to be limited to one practice per day while getting fully healthy, so he wasn't out there this afternoon.

* Seems like a lot of freshmen have moved up from the start of camp. Marcus Hall, Jack Mewhort and Corey Linsley look solid on the second-team offensive line, while John Simon is one of the second team defensive tackles at times. And Dorian Bell was running with the second-team linebackers at times today, as was Jonathan Newsome.

Notes from Ohio State football practice - cleveland.com

-- The offensive line is a source of constant interest, specifically the left tackle, and today, Andrew Miller repped with the starters. J.B. Shugarts was second team and Mike Adams third team. Sam Longo was fourth team.

The closer we get to the season, the more it appears that's the order we'll see for the opener, at least.

-- The rest of the second-team OL:

LG: Corey Linsley
C: Jack Mewhort
RG: Andrew Moses
RT: Marcus Hall

That's three true freshmen on the second team (Linsley, Mewhort and Hall). Again, this far into camp, that's not for show. It's time to be getting serious.

The rest of the third team OL:

LG: Connor Smith
C: Scott Sika
RG: Evan Blankenship
RT: Josh Kerr

-- The top three LBs today were Brian Rolle, Ross Homan and Etienne Sabino. When they went to nickel, Sabino came out. Interesting to see what happens once Spitler returns.

-- With Heyward out, Doug Worthington once again was shifted to end from his normal tackle spot, and the DL featured Dexter Larimore and Todd Denlinger at tackles and Thaddeus Gibson at the other end.

-- Garrett Goebel and John Simon were the second-team DTs.

-- CB Andre Amos ahead of Devon Torrence today. Unlike the left tackle spot, this one seems to be continuing to rotate day-by-day.

-- Formation-wise, WR Ray Small was used in some interesting ways today. At least twice, he was lined up in the "deep slot" -- almost a wingback, or where Teddy Ginn used to line up as a freshman in the "shot-Ginn." I also saw both top tailbacks, Daniel Herron and Brandon Saine, lined up wide as an outside receiver on occasion.

-- The top three WRs appear to be solidifying: DeVier Posey, Dane Sanzenbacher, and Taurian Washington. Small and Lamaar Thomas got the next-most work, followed by Duron Carter and Grant Schwartz.

It really appears to me pretty even after Posey and Sanzenbacher. Just about any of the other five guys could contribute, I believe.

-- And yes, I include Schwartz in that mix. He's my offensive sleeper this year. He works hard and makes some plays. Had a nice diving fingertip catch over the middle today, although later, he dropped an easy one.

-- Defensively, my sleeper is Jonathan Newsome. He looks very comfortable as a freshman, and has the ideal skill set for that hybrid LB/DE role he's in.

Exhale....Boren is back (Blogging the Buckeyes)

If Pryor stays for his senior year, the '11 team is looking very, very, very promising!

If Pryor stays for his senior that would be incredible and a great story for the Media. I can't begin to imagine what he would be like and the impact he would
bring to Ohio State. His decision to come back for his senior year would inspire many of his fellow classmates to follow in his footsteps.

Wednesday Practice Report
By Brandon Castel

For the second time this fall, Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel opened the doors of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center Wednesday to allow the media to take in practice.

Although it came just two days after the Buckeyes? open practice at Ohio Stadium, there was still plenty to report from my two hours at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

For sure. We've got him for two more years at least, so sit back and enjoy the show. :)
