What makes you say that? If he is in camp today, I would assume that he will have had passed his class from the first session of summer quarter that was holding him back from joining the team. He looked awful good in the spring game and I doubt he's gotten worse since then. He's a playmaker. We need all of the playmakers we can get.Taosman;1516137; said:Ray may be more important early than late because of the development of other WRs. But, how much will he actually play early? His window of opportunity is .........Small. :tongue2:

Reporter: "So you must be happy to be having Ray Small back, since he can be an addition to the explosiveness of the WR core and the return game."
Tressel: "Oh, I don't think he'll be doing much of the wide receiving and the returning in the next few days..."
Reporter: "What will he be doing?"
Tressel, with a wry smile: "Oh, just some activities..."
Which was followed by loud laughter from all the reporters surrounding him.
I don't know, it might be quite a lesson to send him across the middle without pads..BB73;1516296; said:That's true, plus anybody with a late start still has to go through 2 days with no pads, and then 2 days in partial pads; so there will be at least a couple of practices where everybody else can go full bore and Small won't be able to because he won't yet be in full pads.
So it's an ideal time to have somebody running gassers.
