Big stop for Utah to end the half. Bama's offense has still only produced 3 points.

Huge possession to start the second half for the Utes, and they should get good field position after a dumb penalty by the Tide.

I'm kinda enjoying this game more than I thought I would. Can the little guys upstage the mighty SEC in their own neighborhood? :biggrin:

They didn't call a blatant hold on the 4th down play. I was thinking that last flag would give Bama an untimed down if it was on the Utah secondary.

Bama will kick off from the 15 to start the second half.

Great play by Julio Jones to break up that pick, when he was 5 yards behind when the defender jumped up for the ball.

Edit - bkb's right on that illegal shift, check his link. It used to be legal, but it's not any more, when the shift is quick and intended to deceive the defense.

And is it just me, or did 'Bama get away with a really blatant block in the back on that Arenas return? Just because you've got your hands in the air doesn't give you license to run a dude over from behind.

Not just you. I saw two of those (I called them nudges), but I wouldn't call them blatant and I didn't see them live.

This was worse than the hold they called a couple plays earlier....

You have to love that Mountain West "Quickness" beating that SEC "Speed"....to the point of attack....they are being very aggressive with their play....
