You know, I wasn't rooting for Utah at all, getting sick of mid-majors going undefeated and getting hype etc. etc.

But I must admit, I'm enjoying the hell out of this. It will be worth another year of mid-major BS to see an SEC team get their asses handed to them by a mid-major.

And who knows, maybe the Utes are that good.

'bama driving again, maybe they remembered they are in a football game after all.

I'll gladly deal with mid-major hype if it results from Nick Satan and the SEC getting embarrassed in a BCS bowl.

Long way to go, though...

Damnit Bama get your heads out of your ass... If Bama loses, then TCU and Boise are going to be unbearable the rest of the year.
I think it still is kind of pathetic that Utah must "win big" in this game to get #1 talk. Why wouldn't just winning be good enough? Alabama is #4. TCU is #11 and will likely be top 10 when it's done. BYU and Oregon State are quality wins, not slouches at all. Michigan isn't a quality win. Utah did all they could by scheduling them...so it's not their fault, but beating Michigan is no big deal. And yeah it was only by 2...but beating Michigan by 2 is better than losing by 1...unless your Florida, where people forget you lost by 1.

I mean...if Utah had 1 loss like all these other top 5 teams, than sure, they don't belong in the NC discussion. But they don't. It just goes to show, that a mid major has ZERO chance of winning the NC. No matter how good they really are. That's what makes the NCAA football championship a load of crap. It's the easiest championship to win in major college sports as long as you are one of those 50 or so schools that are in the group that can win it.
