That felt a lot like Glendale. A [censored]ed off team that was written off coming in focused and making plays against a team that is one of college football's Legend teams. If it wasn't for the weird factor of Texas being stiffed by the Big-12 and Heisman voters, I'd say you were in that underdog role as well in the Fiesta, but the Texas guys could go either way, effort wise.

Just shows that you can't take any of these for granted.

It wasn't like Utah was in Conference USA...they did beat:

Michigan, Air Force, Oregon St., TCU, BYU, and Alabama

Ask the Pac10 what they think about playing teams from the Mountain West...if you give USC credit for going through most of that conference (minus Oregon St. of course) then give the Mountain West credit for going 6-1 against that conference

No way they do not have a valid claim a-la-Auburn.

Big difference here is that Auburn was one of THREE undefeated teams. But Utah is the ONLY undefeated team.

They were very fast. Big line, aggressive D with a big push punishing Sara Jessica Parker, basically they took it to Bama in all facets. This was not a fluke at all.

The MWC goes 6-1 against the Pac-10 and the Pac 10 goes 5-0 in its bowl games.

I tell you, I think we should ditch the automatic conference berths. That way we get more diverse OOC games, and the 2008 sucky Orange bowl nightmares are replaced by BCS ranking matchups

The problem is that Florida didn't have 1 tough game and then two "off" weeks. I'm not real sure what to think of TCU or BYU either. Who did they beat? TCU got wrecked by OU

They didn't? Point out any two tough games in a row that Florida had.

Hawaii - weak (if NoD can beat them anyone can)
Miami - weak
Tennessee - VERY weak
Ole Miss - tough (AND THEY LOST THIS GAME)
Arkansas - weak
LSU - pretty weak (especially this point in the year, their QB threw nothin' but INTs)
Kentucky - weak
Georgia - tough (just to make you all happy)
Vanderbilt - weak (they lost to duke and tennessee)
