Like I said, I may not like it, but I can see what Georgia is trying to do, they got left out of the BCS NCG, now they are trying to make a case for the chance of a split. You can blame publications like Sporting News who ran stories on what it would take for a split to happen.

i've never seen the problem in "running up the score", especially in a game like this. if you don't want the other team to put up 50 on you, play defense. they do their job and you do yours.
Can anyone see Tressel doing this? Neither can I.

Typical SEC bullshit. I hate that fucking conference.

I love the way the announcer (Charles Johnson) defended the practice (Georgia trying to run up the score). Naturally he played at Tennessee......

Then do your job and stop them, don't rely on a pathetic challenge stunt to overturn a meaningless first down.

No, Tressel would never do this, but, It's still a football game until the gun goes off and how can you really tell your players who aren't regulars to lay down on National TV? These kids want to perform to the best of their abilities, and really can't blame the coach for giving them that shot.

That being said, I'll agree with this: "F.U.C.K." the SEC!

How bout telling your backups to man up and stop them... instead of bailing them out with a completely unnecessary challenge?

Like I said, Sporting News ran a story last week on what it would take for a "Split National Title" to happen, you know, that thing the BCS was supposed to fix? Well, anyways, the basically high-lighted that Georgia needed to win in convincing fashion, sure, they may have gone a little overboard, but everyone has it in their mind that there's a chance they get a piece of the National Title, and for a coach that basically means 3-5 more years on your contract with a raise. Sadly, I don't see a lot of sportsmanship in most of college football anymore, there's too much money, too much at stake and everyone sees the rewards the team and coach of a NC winning school get, recruits, money, praise.

All this talk about running up the score....well how do you think Colt got his 58 TD's last year? Funny how its not such a big deal when it's Hawaii-Southwest Utah Community College, June Jones is just getting a taste of his own medicine.

I agree with someone earlier, I don't get a good vibe from June. He was idiotic in calling Tebow, who is a class act, a system QB and unable to run Hawaii's "Vaunted" offense. Try a little of promoting your own QB rather than downgrading the other QB. Also, I have heard that Hawaii is one of the dirtiest teams out there, not just based off this game.

All in all I kind of feel bad for the Hawaii fans who traveled so far but I did enjoy seeing them get pounded. Next year's trip to the Swamp should be a fun one
