Thanks. There are a quite a bit of us normal tiger fans around but like every fan base we get overshadowed by the loud obnoxious minority. Our success the past 10 years has only made them louder.
And I'll say this for Clemson......they're amazing at self scouting. Last year the reliance on Lawrence in the QB run, when they hadn't shown it that much was brilliance. We were not prepared for it. This year, while we are preparing for the QB fun, I can almost guarantee Clemson comes out ready to attack down the field. They will switch it up.
In the secondary yes but at the LOS Buckeye D has the upper hand. Have to penetrate and cause havoc. On the offense, need to dominate the inside run game. Do not fret @Jaxbuck. Hope remainsThey don't even have to be good at self scouting to see this coming a mile away.
OSU defense is stout against the run. It's weak to flat out bad in the secondary and gets pressure but not sacks meaning a guy like Lawrence is going to kill it with his arm and some basic pocket mobility.
OSU defense's only hope here, imo, is that the Clemson coaches vastly over think this and do something besides torch the secondary all night long.
Our fan hope is all on things like, "well it's 2020 and weird shit happens this year", "revenge" etc. I don't see any match up's favoring OSU except the general, good offense will beat good defense boilerplate.
IMO Lawrence and his offense have a much easier road in front of them vs the OSU defense than Fields and company vs the Clemson defense and that's what high level college football comes down to anymore. Anytime Northwestern needed a first down they targeted Sevyn Banks and they got it. Neither he, the rest of the secondary or Coombs as a coordinator are going to change that much in 2 weeks, I don't care how disrespected they feel.
I fear this is going to be an ass kicking.

My hope for slowing their offense lies in our DTs being disruptive against their OLine, which appears to have taken a step back from last season as evidenced by their almost complete reliance on QB runs and option plays to get anything going on the ground against ND in the ACC championship game. They don't even have to be good at self scouting to see this coming a mile away.
