Sugar Bowl: #3 Ohio State 49, #2 Clemson 28, Jan 1 in New Orleans

That's what I don't get. Spearing pre-dates the targeting rules and has been around forever, and that would have been 15 yards when I was in HS. The only difference last night is that it is now cause for ejection. Only aggy and rock rubbing aggy are dumb enough to think that was a quality tackle.

rock rubbing aggy..

Of course. Gotta make clicks and there’s more tOSU eyes than almost anyone else.
And far too many Ohio State fans are dumb enough to click those links and reply to those Tweets just to fuel their own outrage ... not realizing, or perhaps not caring, that the media trolls make money regardless of why you're tuning into them.

That was a text book targeting call, even the commentators were saying so.

Similar to the targeting call on Joey Bosa a few years ago against ND.
Joey Bosa dipped his head slightly so that their helmets bumped as he pushed a QB over.

Stalski lowered his helmet until he was looking straight at the ground and launched his entire body into Fields’ back crown of the helmet first.

I personally don’t find those two plays to be very comparable.

if I remember, JBosa dipped his head and hit the QBs sternum with the crown of his helmet. The contact was nowhere near as violent, though.

The one you described sounds more like Nick Bosa’s ejection vs Iowa.
