ESPN's Chris Low asked Spurrier about the move of the Georgia-South Carolina game from the 2nd week of the season to the 6th week.

Ball Coach replied, "...I sortof always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended."

 Way to go Coach. Zing them Leg Humpers every chance you get :banger:

I've seen a few Mizzou fan's making similar comments about Georgia missing players. They have taken USCe's spot playing Georgia in week #2.

I see what you're saying. He wasn't that successful before he got to LSU. I don't recall him ever being a dominant coach at MSU...

He didn't have to be. All he had to do was have someone go off once a year (say, kind of like Plaxico Burress did at the Shoe in the 2nd half in '98) and pull off a big win and that kept his job

Don't know what you're talking about. Ohio State didn't play Michigan State in 1998. :box:

Nor did Florida play Plaxico and Michigan State in the Citrus Bowl in January '99.:box:

When it was introduced in 1958, pundits stated that the Edsel looked like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon. 40+ years later Steve Spurrier stands on the sidelines and damn if that guy doesn't look like an Edsel.

Wrong Edsel - you meant Edsell, right?

No, I meant that Steve Spurrier looks like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon.

If a Spurrier coached team played a Charlie Weiss coached team I would be beside myself trying to figure out which coach was the bigger asshole. 'Bigger' and 'asshole' being references to personality as opposed to girth.
