There was a biopic about Bear Bryant a dozen or so years ago. One scene showed him getting out of a small private plane amidst a cascade of empty beer bottles.

Heavy drinking has become unfashionable. Maybe for good reason. It has also topped "my dog ate the homework" as the #1 go to excuse.

He sounds like an alcoholic due to other instances (and possibly this one presuming it is what it appears to be)

But is a coach partaking of some alcohol after a bowl game really news ?? Esp on a flight home ? First thing I do on a flight is break out my stash of little Johnny Walker bottles and request a coke. Should I check myself into rehab?
On trans-Pacific flights back to the US, I used to get about 4 of these. Everyone in the US airports just thought it was some kind of fruit juice and nobody would think twice walking through baggage, customs, back through security, and connecting flight.

I assume you are intentionally ignoring the intent of that series of tweets. BTW have you passed out from alcohol consumption on a flight that lasted less than 3 hours?
