He would've had a hit if he would've ran. Saying he jogged to first base would be a compliment. Hit one in the hole between the SS and 3B and the SS made a really nice play to get him out... but it was a hit if he ran.

I was just making the point that it must be nice to send out a rookie to throw to a guy who has caught more than 2400 games in his career and is great with handling his pitchers.

I wasn't saying it was the only reason to pick tonight. Just an interesting note.
