Back on point (somewhat) - I think Sbux coffee sux to high heaven. Its the most bitter shit Ive ever tasted (other than the Cmas blend - which in not bad). How the brand grew so big baffles me. For my taste buds, Dunkin Donuts coffee is a hundred times better at half the price.

Speaking of being edumacated by xit coming out of Florida, I noted while reading Merrill Peterson's bio of Thomas Jefferson that in Jefferson's day, Florida was referred to as "the Floridas."

Can someone in the know walk me through the source and evolution of the term? Thanks.

Thats the thing. Coffee should be bitter. I like my coffee black and strong. If you have to put stuff in it, then its wrong imo.

I think Starbucks makes good coffee. Other places do as well. (White Castles for example)
