I don't have any problems with that argument. That still doesn't mean that TNG was in and of itself a great show.

Loved the movie. Not sure if hard core trekkies will like it or not, but I thought that it was very entertaining. Still not as good of a story as First Contact, but was visually the best Star Trek to date...as it should be.

Funny that they panned First Contact for basically being a overblown 2 part episode (I loved it anyway). I can't wait to see the new movie. I'm actually picking it over the first part of the Cavs game tomorrow.

Just watched it....not a Trekkie, at all, but a good origins film. There was a little "cliche" dialogue with the characters, but that probably was to be expected, and really didn't detract from the overall quality of the film, especially if you are an original Star Trek fan, which I am. Always loved the originals. Never got in to the newer shows. Really liked the fact that none of the characters "pussed out". Don't say this much, but , actually looking forward to a possible sequel.
