I never really followed Star Trek on a regular basis, but liked a lot of the Original Series, TNG, and Enterprise episodes. DS9 and Voyager were unwatchable, IMO, but I am pretty excited about this movie. The trailer looks very cool.

DS9 was the only remotely watchable series since the original (and that's because they ripped of Babylon 5).

The Original Series - Wrath of Khan - Deep Space 9 - Galaxy Quest

The rest of Star Trekdome is crap.

The first season of Babylon 5 is gawd awful too. I never made it through to the rest of the series, but many of my fellow nerds feel that it became a great show sometime during seasons 3 and 4, as they started tying everything together.

It certainly had it's problems, but even early on you could tell they were intent on telling an actual story rather than just stringing together a series of unrelated morality plays (Star Trek).

Watching a fight in space where the ships actually revolved on their axis and acted like they were in Zero G rather than flying like WWII pistons planes certainly helped.

I am deeply offended. TNG is the best show in the history of television (after they got past the first 2 seasons). I've probably seen every episode more than twice. I play a game with my wife when we flip through a rerun to see how long it takes me to figure out which episode it is, usually within 5 seconds. I also really enjoyed DS9 after they discovered what they were (took a season or two as well). I watched the other two, but that was only because I was into everything Trek. I tried to watch Babylon 5, but it was a steaming pile of crap and even worse that Enterprise. I'm glad the DS9 writers got together to give us Battlestar Galactica because it is a brilliant show.
