Even though I already donated, I would be willing to donate again to get a wristband. I think the donated merchandise from coachtressel.com would best be used to attract new donors.

I also think a big thank you message/link to m2columbus.com or coachtressel.com would be in order. I am continually amazed at how closely knit the Buckeye community is, and in times of need it really shows.

YES & NO ...

40 members (and 1 guest = 41) have donated at least $50

But, we will give out more than one shirt for anyone that donates in multiples of $50. Soooo, we could theoretically give away 85 shirts so far. That is if everyone that donated requested a t-shirt for every multiple of $50 they donated.

According to SIMV, this is what we have on hand for t-shirts:

Mens:
Grey Long: 1 M, 7 XL, 2 XXL
Grey Short: 1 L, 1 XL, 2 XXL
Red Long: 4 M, 5 L, 8 XL, 2 XXL
Red Short: 3 L, 2 XXL
White Long: 1 M, 1 XL
White Short: 2 M, 3 L, 3 XL

I count that as 48 t-shirts. I'm somewhat unclear (SIMV please answer), but there might also be some women's t-shirts as well? Problem is that only 8 people have contacted me requesting a t-shirt. Those 8 people have requested a combined total of 11 t-shirts. I have asked for their preferred choice, since it is likely (as we go in chronological order - first to donate gets first pick of size, color, etc.) that some colors and sizes will no longer be available by the time other get to choose.

Confused yet? :)

Another update. All donations received (as of today) have been marked and the vCash awarded. If you have donated but haven't received the vCash or a PM from me, please contact me. Total so far is a bit over $4800. :)

I met with the folks at m2marketing (m2columbus) and picked up the "coachtressel" t-shirts and "you win with people" bands they are donating. Great looking stuff. I tried to thank them, but it's hard to adequately convey such a sentiment. I'm just floored when folks with little or no connection to BuckeyePlanet display such compassion and interest in Clarity's situation. The same is true for USC (Trojan) fans who heard of Clarity's plight by way of a post from wstripes. I just don't know what to say except thank you ... and that doesn't seem to cover it in my mind.

Anyway, Meg and Ryan from m2columbus could not have been more kind and concerned for Clarity. They were gracious with their time and obviously with merchandise. I hope everyone stops by coachtressel.com (the site they run for Coach T) and adds to their "hits" as a small way of saying Thank You.

My thanks once again to all the have donated time, expertise, advice, thoughts and money to help Clarity. Let's keep it going!

Right now, I am probably overdrawn in the checking account. However on Friday morning/thursday night, when my deposit hits, count on 20 for me. No wristband needed I bought one last season. It really is amazing to see people like the Buckeye community pull together. So, count me in for a hypothetical, yet certain 20 bucks this week.


Prayers be with Clarity also.

The Spring Drive 2006 is 'officially' over. My sincere thanks to ALL who participated with contributions of time, money and expertise. The response and concern for Clarity was overwhelming and humbling.

While the 'official' drive is over there is still much to do. I personally plan to continue sending money each month to help Will and Jo. I really can't ask for more than what everyone has done this far, but I'm hoping a few of us can continue to easy their burden.

More importantly is the issue of connections. I haven't received a report from Will or Jo in the past week or so, but they have some interesting leads. What we need is more leads and connections to folks that can help. This is vitally important. Keep the ideas coming.

Lastly, I still have the t-shirts (40) and wrist bands (50) that the folks from m2columbus (coachtressel.com) donated for Clarity. I'm open to suggestions, but I think we can run a raffle to raise money with this merchandise.

Thanks again to everyone involved ... It's great to be a Buckeye!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All checks sent to support Clarity need to be made payable to Joanna Bryant ONLY ... NOT BuckeyePlanet as has been stated previously.

Since their move from Florida, Will and Jo had to begin using a new bank. That new institution will not accept checks payable to BuckeyePlanet. So, checks (made out to BP) are being returned to Will and Jo. Consequently they will be mailed back to the sender. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I just received this information from Joanna and she was NOT asking folks to send a new check. She said it wasn't fair to them. Well I'm not so humble or modest ... please send them a new check! :lol: They'll probably be pissed at me for saying it, but I've already done it. In fact, I might just as well say it again ... please send them a new check! :)

NOTE: All future donations (either to Clarity or BuckeyePlanet in general) made with a check should be made payable to: Joanna Bryant.
