idols
I have to admit, after reading these lists, ScriptOhio, I envy you. Not b/c you are old enough to have seen those guys play
, but b/c of the times you grew up in. I cant imagine growing up in the 50/60s. Baseball and football were at its purest forms, life was simple. It had o be great to be a kid in those times...except for the AJ Foyt reference...:tongue2:
As for me, I idolized 1)Michael Jordan 2)Roger Clemens, Ozzie Smith, Pete Rose, Montana and Rice, Walter Payton, Magic and Bird.
As far as guys I loved, followed and didn't miss a game
Baseball: Junior, Dale Murphy, Ozzie Guillen, Don Mattingly, Daryl Starwberry and Doc Gooden (pre-cocaine and arrests) Roberto Alomar (smooth) Lenny "nails" Dykstra, Mark McGwire, Benito Santiago(loved watching him throw)
Basketball: Pro and College--MJ, Magic, Bird, Dominique, Bernard King, Worthy, Burson, Chris Jent, JJ, Bias, Rex Chapman, Barkley
FB: Pro and College--Rice, Montana, Young, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, Dan Marino, Art Monk, LT, Eric Dickerson, Sweetness, Barry Sanders, Elway, Herman Moore, Favre, Cunningham, Marcus Allen, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Jim McMahon, Mike Singletary, Prime Time,
And for a wild card----Mike Tyson.
