I've been down here 8 years now.

Brace yourself and make good mental notes of who says what, circle Jan 9th on your work calandar. Payback day will be sweet indeed.

Tomorrow should be interesting. Though I work in Tallahassee, there are several Gator alums/fans at the office. All year they've been respectful, bordering on reverential if that's a word (is now). They have all said or agreed more than once that, "We want no part of the Buckeyes this year".

What should be interesting about tomorrow is to see if their tune changes. Frankly, I wouldn't blame them. They seem to have found an offense just in time, with Percy Harvin finally being healthy.

Which brings us back to that Florida Speed mantra. More to follow in 12 hours or so...

HA! Actually, I don't think it will come up very often. 2002 was totally different. I think the "Florida Speed" comments will simply come from biased Gator fans who are just talking smack. The national media won't go there this time.

I just heard a "Ohio State doesnt have SEC speed at all their positions" from Lee Corso. And so it starts...

Check out the Florida boards, there is a lot of talk about their speed and our D's inability to handle it. I'm not really worried about our defense, they held their own against some speedy guys this season. The better question for me is: can their D keep up with Teddy, Gonzo, Pitty, Robo, Small, etc. AND handle them all at once? That, to me, will be the real issue in the speed category.
I am worried a little about their athletic receivers... We didn't exactly shut down mich's passing game. But I think we'll make up for that by putting Leak on his back and forcing him into mistakes.

That being said, no team in the country can cover our depth at receiver when Troy is spreading the ball around and using that to open up our running game. It all starts at OSU's great offensive line and Troy's ability to buy an extra couple seconds... give ginn, gonzo, robo, hall, etc. that much time and they WILL get open. And if they don't, i seem to remember Troy having an ability to run with the ball fairly well

Lee Corso just said that while OSU has speed on the outside it "doesn't have SEC type speed at all the positions."

Not even sure what the fuck that means. Speed isn't everything. And furthermore, teams when they play in 20-30 degree weather, don't look that fast - why don't these dumbasses ever realize that?

but... they're like... REALLY fast n stuff... faster than texas whose lb's are faster than ginn!

on the flip side, these comments are being made by the same guy who just stated, "they have 10 5th year starters. and they start for em." in reference to wake forest. so...

Honestly, I'd like to know at which positions we are lacking this mythical "SEC speed". Any insight would be appreciated, many thanks in advance-NFBuck

Its all 22 positions.

Like I said I moved to FL 8 years ago and I'm much faster today at 35 than I was then at 27.

Just ask my wife.:wink2:

And 2 minutes later, Corso says that TSUN's speed will match up fine against USC. Those comments paired together comprise some of the dumbest things that Corso's ever said, and coming from his mouth those comments have a lot of competition.
