Oh yeah, the boo-birds come out every game at one point or another, it has just been much more vocal this season.

Wow. I had no idea. Quite unexpected.

I can see bitching and moaning at the coaches on talk radio, blogs and message boards, but booing while the kids are on the field isn't something I would expect from the Buckeye fanbase.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Worst game I have ever been to at the Shoe...from the play to the fans. This team has no identity on offense or defense. I place that blame square on the coaches.

The defense, especially Howard, got owned. We were lucky, thanks to Cousin's picks and fumble, that we didn't get totally trounced. I don't understand the lack of aggressive defensive calls. The corners were soft for most of the game, the line got no pressure and the linebackers were lost in space. Cousins is an easily rattled QB with minimal pressure and one thing I expected from this coaching staff was a nasty aggressive defense.

The offense has no rhythm no matter who is at the helm. The line got no push and provided no protection. The play calling is sophomoric at best and totally predictable. The scheming, player rotation relative to play calls, and the pace of getting plays in is absolutely abominable. I have no clue why they pulled Braxton for Bauserman, what a way to devastate a young player.

After about one quarter of play the fans were just on their hands. There was little energy in the stadium if any throughout the game. Hell at one time the MSU fans were drowning out the OH....IO. It was without a doubt the worst game I have ever been to and I have been going since the 60's.....

Only two games, Purdue and Indiana, look to be possible wins at this point in the season given what has been shown so far.

I think they were booing the coaching...too many people misinterpret booing from the stands as booing the players...I sat there and heard "Run the other play you know Tressel" and all kinds of stuff from the stands for years...90% of the people are booing the coaching playcalling, not the kids. Not saying there aren't some, but a lot more people blames the coaching than kids than people want to admit I think.

Especially at the end of the first half there, that was all booing of the coaches. The fans were pissed they gave up at the half. I can't say I necessarily blame them though (the coaches that is).

Brewster is an AA at center, and wasn't involved in tattoogate. No problems there.

I hear you, but listening to the radio while driving home heard this from Earl Bruce and others who know way more about football than I do: Brewster was supposed to call out blocking schemes when MSU showed blitz, couple of the sacks came right up the middle, couple of times the nose guard went through untouched. Nine total sacks. Supposedly Brewster took some of the blame himself, saying he called a bad game -- anyone else hear that, or was that Sam Adams talking to me as I drove? Also claimed that Jordan Hall -- who ran hard all game long -- just often didn't get any help -- talked to the press after the game and stated that the team practiced a great many plays that never got called

Seems to me that the loss of Adams is affecting all OL play.

I'm proud the guys didn't collapse like the shitty, gutless fans that left game. Thanks for hanging in there to score guys - nice job - major kudos to you!

*** SPECIAL REQUEST TIME ***

If you're at the game and you see these worthless SHITTY fans that make fun of our team and leave the game early can you please take a picture or video of them for us? I think the mighty and many members of Buckeye Planet should create the official Buckeye Planet SHUN list with these worthless fucks on there.

You act like a piece of shit scUM fan, we post your picture/video on this website in a SHUN LIST thread and then we get to find out who you are so we can SHUN your dumb ass from here and the games!

Cheers,

Sullie

I assume you're speaking of all those empty seats that rest in A Deck, between the 30's on the west side of the shoe -- note those folks are high rollers - at any given game they seldom show up before the band comes on and are back in the clubhouse by halftime. Also note that long, long, ago many of those used to be student seats.

It's what happens when you give the best seats in the house to those who are there for the social boost instead of the game.

Looks bad on TV, but they have put their money where their mouth is, I guess that gives them the right to do whatever they want to include booing and leaving.

Nope, he's not. That section is often empty, even at the start of the game.

20-25% of the shoe took off when MSU made that FG.

Another 20-25% of the shoe left when Joe overthrew Hall on 4th down.

That place was a shell of itself when Joe orchestrated a comeback.

You can't boo one without the other.

If they executed the play for a 5 yard gain, folks wouldn't be booing. When they get stuffed for a loss, their failures are what triggers the booing, even if the quarrel is more with the coaching.

For years I've heard folks (and not just rare & isolated idiots, either) demand that Bauserman be put in for Pryor. They got their wish.

I did not realize until yesterday just how good Terrrelle was. I have next to no doubt that he would have scored enough points on his own to bring in a victory.

He didn't against Penn State as a freshman. Pretty much the same situation that Braxton faced and Terrell had experienced receivers to work with. So, no, I don't agree with this analysis.

In a game between evens, (and without the Tat 5, these two teams were relatively even) I'll bet on the team with a good senior QB and a good senior receiver rather than the team with a great freshman QB and a set of promising receivers.

Question: where was Stoneburner? Seemed like a day when the tight end coulda/shoulda been utilized.

I wasn't comparing Freshman Terrelle to Freshman Braxton. I was stating what I feel that present-day Terrelle would have done if he were playing yesterday.

Absolutely the view from B deck. People where especially upset that with the first sign of offensive life, the ball on the Spartan side of the 50 and 2 minutes left on the clock, the plays called took too much time, gave up a sack right up the gut, ran a draw play and then left two TOs on the board.

At a point in the game when 3 points would have meant a lot, the coaches gave up on the offense, decided it was safer to let the clock run out than run the risk of an interception -- pick six -- and gave possession back to MSU (because the Bucks had taken the ball after winning the toss - something else Tressell regularly did that bugged me-) That's what brought the B-Deck boo birds out yesterday, the giving up on the offense with time and time outs still on the clock.

Just for the record I did not join the Boo birds, but I did agree on their thinking.

Yeah, but to be fair to Braxton you have to do apples to apples. Like Terrell, the kid's got a steep learning curve and it isn't going to be fun to watch sometimes. Last year, at this time, I was sure thinking he gets a year to sit and watch and learn and gets some snaps in blowouts -- and who didn't think we'd have a bunch of those in the first five games?

This is the only time I remember hearing booing at the good guys(I was so drunk I could barely walk up the stairs to my seat), and as much as i hate to admit it I was booing too. Giving up like that definitely triggered my first real negative thoughts about Fickell as our coach.
