Does anyone know where to get a guaranteed ticket for the game? My Dad and are going, regardless, but I don't think tickets go on sale until July, does anyone recommend a site or place to get some tickets for the game? My Dad emailed the ticket office and they will have none to sell, I guess they sell tickets in mass, then other companies/people sell those same tickets for more expensive. Any help would be much appreciated. We both have been looking forward so much to going to this game, and want to make sure we have a ticket that guarantees us a seat. Thanks!!

Most of Ohio Stadium is season ticket holders. Stubhub or getting really lucky is your best bet.

Who is jealous? !0 million people, most of whom are from another state, so probably are fans of other schools. See buckeye clubs in socal, or notre dame clubs as well. Even a few tsun fans out there also.
Yes, it is a melting pot.

1. California...SoCal especially...is losing population now. Economically and politically it is in freefall....not as much as in Detroit, however. Kudos.

2. LA has been a huge city for 50 years now...so please don't exaggerate how many people from outside areas have moved to LA. There are many that have moved there and stayed and even more that have moved there and moved away, but the vast majority of SoCal residents are home grown.

3. Columbus is a growing city....truly growing with people that are not from Columbus or even Ohio. It must have something going for it.

please don't try to throw up lame BS like this and expect us all to buy into it.

USC has a fantastic football program...although it's appearing more and more like some of its success came directly as a result of cheating. But make no mistake...USC fans in general have no clue about the pageantry and tradition of college football...except for what they see on ESPN Classic. But they're about to experience it. Win or lose, USC will be HONORED to play a great game in the great Ohio Stadium in front of the great Ohio State fans.

You're welcome.

I don't buy the experience factor being a negative as far as USC QBs are concerned. Carroll and his coaching staff have USC ready for big games and this is a big game. The Ohio State staff on the other hand hasn't been able to do that recently.

An inexperienced Mark Sanchez made an experienced Ohio State defense look absolutely pathetic last season.

Ohio State needs to pull out all the stops for this game.

Hard to call Mark Sanchez inexperienced when he had thrown a lot of in-game passes before 2008, been in the system for 3 years, and even started some games the season before.
I point to the inexperience at QB as a big factor in this one. Corp, the likely starter, has thrown less than 10 college passes. He has yet to play in a big time road game, at night, where his team is depending on him. Nothing USC does in practice will prepare them for something quite like that atmosphere.

That doesn't make sense. Experience is always helpful. FYI, Mark started 3 games the year before. Unless the Mustain somehow wins the job, the new QB will have started none.

Yeah, they rang us up for a whopping 380-some yards.
yeah, our D didn't look great, but it's not like we were Notre Dame or something, giving up 550 or 600.
It was our O-line that looked "pathetic".

Corp will play it close to the vest to avoid mistakes - at least that was his M.O. this spring.
Our D's job is to STOP THE RUN. Corp and their passing game will not beat us by itself, but can hurt us if their running game is being effective.

Our O's job is to MAKE BIG PLAYS. That's where their inexperience will come into play. If we can capitalize on the opportunities that will be there and make some big plays on Offense, then we will do some damage.

Which is why it's a good thing we'll be playing Navy the week before. Provided, it's a different type of athlete and offense, but we'll be able to see what we have going into that game.

I don't see how playing Navy helps us other than it just being a game before SC.

So much of the SC game will revolve around just what Pryor can achieve. They(USC) can't duplicate what he brings to the table, but he must make plays and not mistakes.

Just to clarify, OB is saying that Corp or Barkley will have no college QB starts from the previous year. Presumably, one of them will start the San Jose St. game on Sept 5th, and have 1 start under his belt before also starting the game in the 'Shoe.

1. Game experience

2. Ohio State will need to tackle well against Navy. They will need to tackle well against USC. Having a game before USC greatly enhances the chance the coaches will be able to fix any deficiencies.

3. Navy isn't going to be a bad team this year. Playing a spirited team that won't quit is a good thing IMO.

I did say that. But their style of offense does not help us prepare for SC.

I too have a difficult time seeing how Navy prepares you for USC. My concern about the Navy game is not whether we win...we will , but it will be a hard fought game I suspect. My fear is that we will get someone hurt with all of that misdirection stuff.

We will have the edge vs SC in so many areas. The only concern is their use of TEs. I think they are creative enough with the TE to keep moving the chains against us.
