Any guess as to the 16th..... :)

SIU is 4th. I watched SIU play twice. If they are the 4th best team in the nation right now.....

EDIT - Either one of UT or UVA would have won the VPI/SIU game by 10 points, IMO. That list is silly.

ohio state is going to be the 1st #1 seeded Cinderella in NCAA tourney history:)....wow..when UCLA beat mizzou in 97 in the second round..they were a team of destiny..when UF beat butler on a last second shot in 2000..they were touched by a devine source...when GTown beat SMU by 2 points way back when..it was a gritty win....most teams have a game like the one osu played...UF, UCLA, UNC didn't look great and all 3 of those teams played teams osu beat 6 times this season...now osu has a same type of win and pretty much everyone but buckeye fans are leaving them for dead on the side of I-75...sad...one more source of motivation i guess

South Regional: Painting the Alamo maroon

In this second of four pieces examining the NCAA Tournament at the Sweet 16 point, we now turn to the South Regional, where the top seed is lucky to still be around ? and the no. 3 seed will feel right at home.
Never mind that spot at the top of the polls. Ohio State needed everything to break right at the end of regulation against Xavier, following its first-round romp of Central Connecticut State.
Having already subdued BYU in Lexington, the Musketeers led by nine with less than three minutes of play. Sensing the end, the Buckeyes pressed, hit some 3-pointers, and were within two as the clock in regulation wound down.
What followed will linger with Xavier fans for a long, long time. Off a missed shot, Greg Oden fouled Justin Cage hard. Many would say an intentional foul should have been called, all but locking up the game, and they might be right.

I would rank the remaining sixteen as follows:

1 Florida
2 North Carolina
3 TOSU
4 Kansas
5 UCLA
6 Georgetown
7 Memphis
8 Texas A&M
9 Oregon
10 Pitt
11 SIU
12 Tennessee
13 Butler
14 Vanderbilt
15 USC
16 UNLV
Isn't that just about how they were seeded overall?

Law restores order at Texas A&M

By CHRIS DUNCAN
AP Sports Writer

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- Moments after Texas A&M defeated Louisville to reach the regional semifinals, Acie Law was crying with joy. Aggies coach Billy Gillispie walked up to his star point guard and said, "Didn't you believe me?"

When Gillispie took over at A&M three years ago, he told Law the Aggies were going to win sooner than anyone expected.

MEMPHIS - Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis' leading scorer, did not practice because of a sprained left ankle Monday as the Tigers prepared for the NCAA tournament regional semifinals against Texas A&M.
