Maybe because Rupp is a basketball only facility unlike the Schott and United Center where Hockey and other activities are played.

No clue, just a guess.

Depends on how old the rims are and how many times they have been dunked and what not...

I remember a story of Jordan after his comeback I believe and the bulls had put new rims in the United Center and he went in there and was thorwing the ball at the rim and pulling it down and what not to try and get it broke in a little...There is nothing worse than trying to shoot on tight rims...

I really thought those rims at UK looked pretty giving after the ball hit the front of the rim...

HtM, looking at your schedule... UVA seemed to be held to lower point totals against some of the better teams who play defense (ie 59-61 Purdue, 67-62 NC State, 69-75 UNC, 64-62 Clemson, 68-62 Duke).

Were you missing players against Purdue?
