I'm Wes, I'm a 2nd generation graduate of UA (Geology/Geography). I've been following football since the early 90s and believe it or not attended at a time when Bama was down (late Stallings to Shula years).

A good many of the posters on this site have been great. I mostly hang out at SECTalk.com which is generally friendly to fans of other teams/conferences. It's pretty refreshing to see a site dedicated to fans of a particular team be so open to others. There are a lot of boards that would not put up with it or get as much out of the conversation that you guys seem to get. Roll Tide! Go Buckeyes!

Hello everyone.

I'm a die-hard Buckeye fan from Virginia since I was a kid (the Cooper era). I've got family from Ohio on my dad's side, that's how I initially became a fan. Later I would find out that my mom's father, who I never knew and she never really talked about, was a Buckeye fan too so apparently it runs in my blood. Funny enough, after my mom split up with my dad, she ended up with another Buckeye fan. It's a family thing for me. Locally the only Buckeye talk I get, other than with the fam, is defending the team from all the shots people like to take.

I look forward to joining the discussion here.

Hey everyone, my name is Brian. I occasionally posted on some other sites before but found out about this one and realized this was the place to post for good discussion. AMI stands for Anna Maria Island, was born there and have spent a lot of years there. Im a Ohio U grad, but became a TOSU fan at birth because my dad is an alumni and he refused to have a son who wasn't a Buckeye fan.

Huh. I spent some vacation time in AMI in 2000. I had an Ohio U bumper sticker, since I was getting my grad degree there at the time (got the bachelors at Ohio State). I was pumping gas when a guy at a nearby pump noticed my bumper sticker, and told me that he had gone to Ohio University, and asked me how things were going in Athens. That wasn't you, was it? :)

Anyhow, welcome to the board. I am fairly new and don't post much, I mostly come here during games and follow along because I have only one teenage daughter left at home, and often I am watching by myself. Reading the crazy comments on this board makes the viewing more fun. You can count on some LOL moments, whether things are going well, or badly, on the field.

Hi all, I'm Ben and posting from Cheshire in the UK.

Through the magic of Tune In Radio (And boredom at work) I stumbled across the Loper and Randi show on The Blitz a few years ago and have been an avid listener ever since. Gradually over time they've subliminally turned me into a Bucks fan - It's hard to listen to the news and match build up etc every day without gradually being converted! For this season I'm going to try and watch online as much as possible so looking forward to hopefully an entertaining season!
