Songs you're almost too embarrased to admit you like

Good call, although I'm not sure I'd classify Janet Jackson and Amy Grant as "old school" (of course, you're not an old fuck like me  ).

Speaking of real old school chick hits, The Supremes had some killer songs like "Stop in the Name of Love" and "You Keep Me Hanging On" that most males wouldn't admit to liking lest being thought of as queer as a three-dollar bill...

yeah, I guess you're right about my classifications...I gotta admit to liking the Supremes too. Everytime Reflections comes on, I turn the radio up for that sweet sound...:paranoid: ...my parents are both in their 60's, and growing up, all I listened to was Magic 105.7, so I'm not really embarrassed to sing or listen to any kind of oldie tune. On a side note, everytime Jimmy Malone laughs, I laugh, especially during Knuckle Heads In The News...

and for those of you who don't know, Bailamos is a huge crowd pleaser on karaoke nights, just sayin'...

Both of my sisters call me and sing it just to get it stuck in my head. I might have to kill them both. :pissed:

Hey, it sounds like you don't like your sister.

I think you need a new one.

And a few for me:

You're The Inspiration - Chicago
Waiting For A Star To Fall - Boy Meets Girl
When I See You Smile - Bad English
Candyman - Christina Aguilera
Pretty much anything by Shakira.

Ok I got 2 more embarassing songs Everybody dance now-C and C Music Factory and Return of the Mack-Mark Morrison. I still think return of the mack is cool though.

" So, I'm back up in the game Running things like half my swing
Lettin' all the people know
That I'm back to run the show
'Cause what you did you know was wrong
And all the nasty things you've done
So, baby, listen carefully While I sing my comeback song
You lied to me Cause she said she'd never turn on me
You lied to me But you did, but you did
You lied to me All this pain you said I'd never feel
You lied to me but I do, but I do do do Return of the Mack
It is Return of the Mack
Hold on Return of the Mack
Don't you know You know that I'll be back (Here I go)
Return of the Mack Oh, little girl
Return of the Mack Once more, girl
Return of the Mack Up and down"

I love that song! It's the only song that I have ever danced (badly) sober to...

DON'T YOU WANT ME - 12/12/1981
5 weeks at #1 - 13 weeks on chart

You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar
When I met you
I picked you out, I shook you up and turned you around
Turned you into someone new
Now five years later on you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too

Don't, don't you want me
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me
You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry

Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh

I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar
That much is true
But even then I knew I'd find a much better place
Either with or without you
The five years we have had have been such good times
I still love you
But now I think it's time I lived my life on my own
I guess it's just what I must do

Don't, don't you want me
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me
You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry

Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh

Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me baby, Don't you want me oh
