Songs you're almost too embarrased to admit you like

Sober

I like the song "shadowboxer" by fiona apple. I also like "two pina coladas" by garth brooks. Only country song i can say that about. Probably because it talks about captain morgan.

I'm not really embarrassed of liking a song...if someone has a problem with a song I like, then it's their problem. Of course I only like good music so what's there to be ashamed of? It's not like I listen to rap or country so...

As I get older I don't worry about what people think but I do catch a lot of grief for listening to Hall & Oates.

Amen to the first part bro! I am doing my best to instill that mindset into my boys (ages 8 and 11) now.

As for the Hall and Oates part, well I'm embarassed to have given positive rep to someone who listens to them .

My favorite bands are Sex Pistols, Ramones, Clash, Stooges, Velvet Underground, early Stones and Beatles, lots of LA punk (Social Distortion, Germs, Vandals, Adolescents, etc.) - basically, anything loud, hard, and fast. But ... for some unknown reason ... I also like ... Steely Dan, especially Do It Again. I even have their Greatest Hits double album on gold vinyl. :banger:

Yeah, I know, pretty lame....

I guess if I liked Barry Manilow I'd put it here. I don't though so no cause for concern

I dated a girl years ago who loved Barry Manilow. She used to tell me how when she was little and if she was good her mom would let her listen to him. I told her that was weird because my mom would make me listen to him if I was bad. I wonder why we never made it?

LBJ...if you like loud, hard, and fast, check out some technical gurus making up a band called Dream Theater. They are my favorite band by far and are speedy virtuosos

I have a similar story verbatim so I understand what you went through
