Underground/ "positive" hip-hop Screw Talib Kweli and DeLaSoul, gimme 50,NWA,Eminem, and da Franchise Boyz. I saw Dave Chappelle at the Nutter Center and was bored to tears w/ Dead Prez, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli....
Dark Metal-sounds like Death Metal, but the damn singers think they are Luciano Pavarotti and scream in high pitched, whiny voices

Agree there..........was cool back in the 80's with Maiden and such, but it is just annoying now. Especially bands like Cradle of Filth.....BLAH.

If they wanna be dead and whatnot so bad, just get it over with.

I think one person that hates rap, saying to another person that rap artists have no talent is pointless.

The fact is, you decide what kind of music you like. Its stupid to say that rap artists have no talent. You may think that, but not everyone thinks the same.

Basically what I'm saying is, just because you don't like it or listen to it, doesn't mean you can make everyone else think the same.

Thats like me saying bands like Metallica, Ozzy, and Aerosmith have no music talent and all their music is, is screaming and beating on metal...a lot.

Then I can also say that country artists have no talent because all they talk about is getting drunk, drinking Jack Daniels all day.

You find me a rap artist who can play an instrument, and I may agree.

Hell Kid Rock has more talent in 1 finger than any of the everyday rap artists. And no, I cant stand Kid Rock.

And you make it sound like people are "Attacking" rap........that isnt the case. I will be the first to admit that some of the music I listen to is not exactly filled with talent.

Son, turntables are considered to be stereo equipment.

If I take a chainsaw on stage, I'm not "playing the chainsaw" I'm using it to make a chainsaw noise.

Rap "artists" might be able to rhyme well, but as musical talent goes, they're typically lacking. Face it, junior mints. No one is saying you can't like rap regardless.

Hmmmm..... OK. Like I said, they can rhyme, and some of them can even rhyme whilst changing keys, but not usually (least with the rap I've heard) But, you know why Teddy's pushing for the record player to be an insturment? Because that would mean that these folks are actually making music rather than ripping off someone else and putting their own words over top of it. HEy,it worked for the beatnicks, why not rappers too.
